I, with my husband enrolled to a wine of the month club, thanks to the couple that chose to stay with us on a weekend who extended the invitation to join the club. I think it as a wonderful gift of courtesy. Ever since joining the club, we receive two bottles of wine every month. My husband doesn?t care about wine and he asks me what to do with that much wine. I found a solution to the problem. I decided to use my membership at a club of different kind, a book club to make the most of the sample wine bottle I would receive from the wine club.

I met the members of the book club at a meeting and told them about the wine I get from the ?wine of the month? club. Till then it is not a problem finishing off the wine. We picked a book on wine making, wine testing, wine sampling and stories of people related to wine making and serving industry. We are book club members, you see. The next meeting of the book club was planned at my home. By the time the meeting materialized, I had some unique bottles of wine. We discussed the book (really!) while sampling the wine. It was a nice thing to see wine of the month club was mentioned in the book. Now tell me what should I call the meeting ? wine of the month meeting or book club meeting?

I agree it was the loudest book club meeting we ever had. Different sampling wine glasses were emptied at regular intervals. It was great fun for everyone. Was it wine of the month club that added fun and value to our book club meeting or is it the other way round? It doesn?t matter till we have something for our intellect and for our tongue as well.

The membership fee to the wine of the month club is quite reasonable and most of the book club members joined the club as a group. It is nice that the hostess always something unique for the guests, even in the form of wines. Some of the wines are great tasting while I don?t really like all of them. It doesn?t matter ? there will always be takers for the tastes that I personally dislike. It is only natural for us to note which wines perform well on our tongues and which one doesn?t. We will be purchasing the ones that raised some prolific cheers.

Before you get too excited, read below to find some great tips about travelling to Athens. If you plan ahead, you’ll ensure that your Athens vacation is the best it can be!

Getting to Athens: Using a Greek Travel Agent

You might be frightened about using a travel agent you’re not familiar with – especially from a foreign country. Have no fear, using a reputable Greek travel agent is probably the safest and most affordable way to schedule your visit to Athens.

There are several reasons why using a Greek travel agent can help your travels go more smoothly. One, they are very familiar with the Athens area and can direct you to the right hotel, activities and travel methods during your stay. A travel agent who is not located in Greece will not always be able to provide the best possible options. Second, a Greek travel agent often has access to more discounted packages for hotels, rental cars, cruises, resort packages, tours, airline tickets, etc. So, you will probably save money on your overall travel expenses by using a Greek travel agent. Third, if you run into problems during your stay, get lost or lose something, a travel agent who’s actually located in Athens will be able to assist you directly. If your travel agent is located thousands of miles away, you’re pretty much on your own!

Ferry Schedules and Travel Agents

Ferry schedules are a whole other ball park when it comes to planning your trip. By using a Greek travel agent, you’ll have access to the most up-to-date ferry boat schedules. Ferry boats are used to travel to and from the Greek islands, so you must be able to schedule your ride at the right times if you plan to visit any islands while in Athens. The problem with ferry schedules is that they’re are usually released and changed at the last minute. So, even using the Internet to research your own schedules will not always be accurate. The last thing you need is to be stranded on some island!

Recommended Hotels in Athens

When planning your trip to Athens, be sure you understand where your hotel is located, what rating it has and the expense of staying there. Many hotels and resorts are available in Athens, but you want to be sure it will meet your needs. The best way to know for sure is to talk with a travel agent and explain the type of room and price you desire.

Great areas to stay in Athens include Makrianni, Plaka, Thission, Syntagma, Koukaki and Monastiraki. These are within walking distance of many of the major attractions and sights in Athens, so you can avoid driving downtown as much as possible. Also these areas all border the Acropolis and its surrounding archaeological park. Shops, restaurants, taxis, ferry ports, buses, etc. are all nearby these areas as well.

Below is a list of some great hotels in Athens, some being upscale and others being family-oriented or inexpensive.

Cell phone use overseas. In 99% of the world the local cellular service standard is called GSM. We use this in the states as well. When combined with a SIM CARD (which usually goes under the battery of the phone) the phone is able to communicate and the SIM CARD also holds the telephone number and memory for pre-paid credit. Rates can be extremely low using this system. For example in 99% of all SIM CARDS incoming calls are free and calls to the states can cost a trifle. Such as, from the UK to the USA 7 cents/minute, from Israel 22 cents, from Australia 27 cents. Yes, USA Dollar cents! There are today even prepaid service providers in the USA offering rates of 10 cents per minute to call anywhere in the US to any type of phone. No contracts, no credit card checks, no bills. Pre-paid always means no minimums no contracts, no obligations. You only pay for the calls made. You’ll need an unlocked GSM tri-band or quadband UNLOCKED phone. You can buy factory unlocked phones and sim cards for more than 170 or the 193 countries on earth from http://www.planetomni.com Tel. #800-514-2984

Wrongful death refers to a lawsuit which alleges that the victim was killed as a consequence of negligence or misdeed of another. Usually, wrongful death occurs as a result of personal injury accidents, medical malpractice, auto accidents, workplace accidents, dangerous or defective products, mesothelioma and other accidents. When the proximate cause of the wrongful death of the decedent roots from reckless, careless or negligent acts of another, his actions are often subject to personal injury and/or wrongful death suits.

Ethyl alcohol or commonly known as ETHANOL is derived from sugarcane, grapes and other fruits which has high sugar content. The liquid is extracted by pressing and collected in jars or other vessel. Yeast is added to ferment the sugar from the liquidand is covered to prevent dust from contaminating the liquid and also to avoid Acetobacter which attacks the alcohol and turn it into sugar. Ethanol has been widely used as solvent for products such as lacquers, paints, varnishes, glues, pharmaceuticals, explosives.

Methyl alcohol a.k.a. METHANOL is a wood alcohol. It is the product of destructive distillation of wood, but today it can be produced
synthetically. Methanol has been used in manufacturing as solvent for
fats, oils, resins, cellulose nitrate and also in the manufacture of
dyes, methanol, antifreeze solutions, special fuels, plastics.
Just recently, alcohol has been seen as a promising alternative fuel in the future. It could be used to replace gasoline as fuel with only
minor conversion of the carburator. Some countries like Brazil, Japan and Germany has already taken steps in using alcohol as an alternative fuel for thier cars.

In Brazil, sugane farmers has benefited in the alchol production of the country. Approximately 60% cars and vehicles in Brazil has been
converted and used alcohol as fuel and even airplanes. Brazil is the
leading producer and exporter of alcohol to Japan and Germany which has also joined the bandwagon for a clean and green fuel.

The future of alcohol as an alternative to gasoline is inevitable. I
couldn’t say that it could replace gasoline in a decade, but for sure
alcohol fuel is to stay.

The newest technique to produce beautiful finishing is powder coating. It is a process of applying a coating without the need to use solvents. This is similar to applying dry paint on the surface. Instead of paint, however, pigmented powder created from aluminum, medium density fiberboards, fusion-bonded epoxy and acrylics are used to produce polymer granules. They are mixed with powder ingredients and pigments to produce the desired color.

All of these ingredients are placed in an extruder, rolled flat and then cooled off. It is then broken down into many pieces and milled to produce the powder. The powder is usually applied using a gun with electronic charge. The object is then heated to melt the powder making the finish stick on the surface. It produces a hard, tough and abrasion resistant skin for the object. This is a preferred finishing for metallic objects because it can produce a very smart looking result and can be applied in a wide range of thickness.

There are various equipment used in powder coating. One is the gun used to spray the electronically charged powder on to the surface of the object. One type of gun is called the corona charging gun. Electronic power is used to produce a charge on the powder. This gun can be used either internally or externally. Another type of powder coating gun is the tribo charging gun. This gun produces friction between the powder and the gun barrel. It uses friction instead of electricity to produce the electric charge for the powder. A bell charging gun flings the powder from the perimeter of the bell producing the electrical charge on the powder. Whichever gun you use, the end result is the same. To compare and contrast between guns, check out specialized sites on the Web about power coating.

Recent sales statistics proved bagless vacuums to be the popular choices. It is priced lower and less bulky than bagged varieties. The infomercials that are so popular in home shopping channels are doing their jobs perfectly. But are bagless vacuums really better than bagged ones? Bagless vacuums claim of having better airflow than vacuums with vacuum bags. They also claim to aid the lowering of production costs since the need to buy a vacuum bag is eliminated. But these are from infomercials, they are made to promote bagless vacuums. But there are several important things left unsaid. Read up and find out why you shouldn’t ditch your bagged vacuum.

Let us explore the production costs. Vacuum cleaners do not suck up dirt by magic. They use air to suck the dirt in and pass it through their filter and to the collecting contraption. Even bagless vacuum designs do this. In time, the filters of bagless vacs need changing due to use and long wear. It would cost just as much to replace a worn HEPA filter and to buy disposable Eureka vacuum bags or Hoover vacuum bags. Though there are HEPA filters guaranteed not to wear out, they come with a price and at the cost of your time. Whereas you just pull out the bag from bagged vacs and throw it in the trash, these bagless filters require cleaning effort especially if you don’t want to damage your filter. To maintain bagless vacuums functional at top form, you basically have to empty dirt cups when full. You also have to clean out the filter either by dusting, brushing, tapping, or washing depending on the detailed cleaning instructions that usually come with these bagless vacs. Think these are too much? You also have to do maintenance cleaning after every 3-4 vacuum sessions. In exchange for the minimal savings from buying a bagless vac, you need to spend time cleaning your cleaning equipment. Throwing and buying a disposable vacuum bag is a small price to pay for buying bagged vacuums.

On to the airflow issue. Bagless vacs claim to be superior in terms of air circulation. Over a short period, the bagless variety has the upperhand. This is while their filters are still new and fresh, but over time, these filters become stuck with dust and dirt. Dirty filters cannot boast of their airflow because the particles weaken the air circulation. You need to either clean the filters or replace them to achieve that superior airflow again. However, in bagged vacuums, all it takes is to change your vacuum bag and your vacuum is as fresh and powerful as new again. The key here is restoration. Restoring a vacuum’s air power will ensure better cleaning. Bagless vacuums cleaned every fourth cleaning session only use half or a quarter of their supposed power during the second, third, and fourth time of use.

As a result, more time is spent cleaning to make up for decreased power. With bagged vacuums, replacement of vacuum bags automatically recharges the vacuums’ cleaning power depending on your needs. Better cleaning with less effort and time spent.

When my sales manager said ?sales is a numbers game?, I should have beaten him with the lie then and there. Unfortunately, my first sale came directly from a cold call and I was convinced that cold calling worked. It only took one hint at success for me to believe in cold calling. You could say that I was cursed for the next few months and became a victim. Many of the old sales books fed my appetite for more sales calls and longer hours. Unfortunately for me, I?m not a math genius and couldn?t see the flaw in the formula. Perhaps there are industries where cold calling works. I just wasn?t in one.

My sales manager was right, ?the more cold calls I made the more sales I made?. However, I was fighting a losing battle with time. There simply weren?t enough hours in the day to meet my sales goals. Fortunately, I began examining the sales numbers and noticed a more important equation in sales.

Revealing the Truth of Sales Ratios
My sales numbers began to reveal my sales ratios and a pattern of success. The activity numbers indicated that certain markets and businesses produced substantial sales. These sales trends jumped out as a pattern I wanted to duplicate. My interest in what was working shifted my attention to monitoring the success ratios of my activities.

WOW, my sales manager was right! However, the truth is – the sales ratios are the numbers we must evaluate. Discovering the relevance of sales ratios and sales activities was the break through I was looking for. Once I learned the value and benefits of profiling sales ratios, cold calling didn?t make sense. Why should I follow the less effective random cold calling method when a more efficient formula produced greater results?

It was like turning on the light of truth to the dark world of sales. Instead of cold calling, I focused like a laser on prospects that matched a specific profile increasing my success ratio. If I was going to make sales calls, I would make them on prime prospects.

The Better Way to Prospect for Customers
If you watch the television program Numbers, you know how the characters define profiles and patterns to find the right prospect or suspect. It is the same in sales and all the evidence is at our finger tips. Once we identify the clues of a prospect by the patterns of existing customers, we know where to find new prospects. Instead of random cold calling, we can focus on prime suspects for our business.

To understand and determine your ratios for success, just ask yourself what percentage of existing customers have X? Your answers will reveal the important ratios. From this exercise you will identify a success pattern to duplicate in your prospects.

What percentage of customers have X number of employees or members?

What percentage of customers have X annual sales or income?

What percentage of customers are in X industry or category?

What percentage of customers are located in X?

What percentage of customers have purchased X in X months or years?

This gets you started in determining your success ratios and stops the time wasted activity of random cold calling. As you add new ratios to this list, you will multiply your sales results. The great thing about using ratios is that once you identify the success pattern, there is industry information which will narrow your prospecting search down to who, where, when and how to contact them. Good Selling!

Much work is currently being done in the scientific community to fuse non-human or artificial intelligence into a mold, which will be accepted by their human counterparts. You might understand that a soon to be or someday inferior human may be a little upset working along side an advanced robot or artificial intelligent android.

How the android looks will be a big factor, its facial expressions will also be important as well. One might even consider the types of visual images that are pleasing to humans now. Think about the visual imagery used in advertising today, lots of research goes into this, because non-pleasing advertising will not sell products or services.

The future of these psychological truths will be evident also in Artificial Intelligent Robot Androids mimicking human behavior and adjusting to personalities. Thus a whole new set of research papers are now re-affirming what is now being discussed in advertising images and its relation to the future.

At MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Stanford, Cal-Tech, Texas A & M, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and so many other schools they are considering this. A recent study from the University of Riverside in California not only confirms advertising theory, but says the exact same thing about online images and computer human interfaces for online marketing, with all the empirical proof which cannot be put into any small and tight well-written article on the subject. Perhaps you will consider all this in 2006.

Home remedies can often be substituted for other medications when the health or other problem is not too serious.

Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are commonly known as piles. One of the treatments for this is an infusion of watercress which is applied externally as a lotion. Crushed fresh leaves of plantain are also applied externally on the affected area. A poultice or compress of witch hazel is also effective. One of the earliest cures for piles was yarrow, marigold and meadowsweet which was applied externally. With this condition, eating a good portion of carrots and oats is helpful. Another cure that is also recommended is eating a large leek and drinking a glass of nettle liquid several times a day.

Halitosis

Halitosis, or simply bad breath, could be a very embarrassing condition. Halitosis may be caused by some disorder of the stomach. To avoid this, a suggestion is taking a concoction of powdered vegetable charcoal and bicarbonate of soda. Other cures are avens, dill and peppermint.

Chapped Hands

Chapping of the hands can be caused by many things. It could be due to strong detergents and chemicals and the main cure for this is intensive moisturizing. A remedy that is effective for chapped hands is taking a piece of melted mutton fat then straining it and pouring it into a basin to harden. Before totally hardening, it is worked into a ball and then it is held before a fire until the surface begins to soften. The substance is then rubbed into the hands.

The next traditional cure is a little more complicated. Unsalted hog’s lard is washed in spring water and then in rose water. The lard is then mixed with honey and egg yolks then with fine oats and formed into a paste. This paste is rubbed into the hands.

Hangover

Hangovers can be very annoying and painful. Drinking a lot of water is said to be very effective in curing a hangover. Some would even recommend eating a beaten raw egg. Other traditional cures are eating raw cabbage and rosemary.

Hay Fever

Hay fever is one of the many types of allergic reactions. Thought to calm the symptoms of hay fever is clove tea. An infusion of plantain and of nettles can also be effective. A hot infusion of balm is also taken to soothe the sufferer. One traditional cure for hay fever is adding chamomile to boiling water and then inhaling the steam while boiling and another involves soaking elecampane in boiling water, straining it and drinking a glass at regular intervals until the symptoms subside.

Head Lice

Head lice are a condition that is very embarrassing and bothersome. It is also very easily transmitted. A common treatment is using cinnamon, applied externally, to wash away the head lice. Lice are also cured with the application of fresh parsley juice. Rosemary was also thought to be effective. A slightly smelly remedy that is also effective is mixing equal parts of kerosene and water and applying it to the hair as a lotion.

Discover an untouched paradise on Roatan. Roatan, the largest of the Bay Islands off the coast of Honduras boasts tropical landscapes surrounded by crystal clear Caribbean waters. Roatan is often found to be as affordable, if not more affordable, than surrounding Central American countries. Come to Roatan to start loving where you live!

The Roatan real estate market has a lot to offer a foreigner desiring to buy property on the island. Whether you are looking to invest in a continually booming market, purchase a second home for vacationing or to share with others, or searching for the perfect location to re-locate or retire, Roatan is for you.

The weather on Roatan is great all year long. The water is always warm and the tropical climate makes for beautiful scenery and cool evenings alongside the beaches.

Some benefits of moving to Roatan include an appreciating real estate market, knowledgeable and friendly real estate agents who speak English, investor friendly laws to protect you and your investments, a great local community maintaining a relaxed island lifestyle and an upbeat place to live. Additionally Roatan offers white sand beaches that fade into calm, warm Caribbean waters: heaven for scuba divers and water enthusiasts alike. The cost of living is extremely affordable and can be as extravagant or simple as you prefer. Modern hospitals and healthcare facilities exist on the island, and for very serious issues more advanced hospitals are a short plane ride to the mainland of Honduras.

Roatan Island has an international airport, docks and marinas, banks, grocery stores, and schools. Accessing the island is very easy from anywhere in the world with direct flights being offered by many mainstream airlines. If re-locating to Roatan, some of the top vacation spots in the world are right around the corner. Roatan offers all the amenities you look for in a place to live or raise a family, but offers them at a much lower costs and in a more beautiful and culturally diverse environment.

Roatan has a market for every buyer. If you would like to buy a home as an investment, our real estate agents can help you rent it out and maintain the property while you are away. For the vacationer and free spirit, Roatan offers more affordable housing that will be available to you whenever you decide to visit. For the people who want to make Roatan their home, the options are limited only to the imagination: Lush green tropical hillsides, beachfront property, huge estates, jungle plateaus, or homes near the main cities are all available.

On Roatan people can easily choose between developing property from start to finish, renovating an existing location, or moving into a completed new home. Running hot water, electricity, television, and high-speed internet are all available. The resources on Roatan are available for the business you always wanted to try, or opportunities to take over running businesses. The tourism industry on the island is very active and lucrative as Roatan is a great place to dive and relax all year long.

Honduras is a democracy headed by a President and Legislature, both elected by the voting public. Obtaining residency is easy. Honduran government encourages foreigner investment and has privatized most businesses for that reason. The government will grant citizenship to retirees or people moving into the country and living off of investment incomes or foreign incomes without taxing personal items, vehicles, and appliances brought into the country. The government values stability and over the past 15 years has placed, and continues to place, high importance on foreigners, which is why Honduras laws protect foreign investors just as they would a native. Foreigners can own land and are not required to lease the land.

Your safety is not so much a concern as it is almost guaranteed. The island of Roatan was once under British rule and many island natives speak English. Unlike some other Latin American countries where safety is of high concern, the Honduran government has taken extra precautions in recent years to keep visitors and newcomers safe.

Unlike other Central American cities, Roatan is removed from most mainstream political conflicts. Roatan?s climate is temperate year-round: the average temperature is 81?F. The people are friendly and the prices of property are on a steady increase, but remain affordable. The people of Roatan are kind, the lifestyle is simple. If all of these traits interest you, then Roatan can be your paradise. Honduras is one of the most reasonable priced places to live in the world and Roatan is no different.
